A transmission line lattice steel tube tower combines elements of both the traditional lattice tower and the steel tube tower designs. This hybrid structure is used to support high-voltage power lines, blending the robustness and adaptability of a lattice design with the streamlined and less obstructive profile of a steel tube.
Structure and Design
The lattice steel tube tower uses steel tubes as the main structural components but arranges them in a lattice pattern. This design choice provides a compromise between the minimal wind resistance of tube towers and the high strength and flexibility of lattice towers. The steel tubes are typically connected using bolts or welds to form a lattice-like structure.
